Huntsman Advanced Materials today introduced a true water-clear stereolithography resin that produces ultra-durable models and prototype parts that are “as clear as glass” according to the CIELAB color scale system. In addition to outstanding polycarbonate-like clarity, colorless RenShape® SL 7870 resin features a notched Izod impact strength of up to 1.15 ft. lb./in., which is significantly higher than that of other clear SL resins on the market today.
A one-component, silver-filled epoxy adhesive that combines high electrical and thermal conductivity with good bond strength was introduced today by Huntsman Advanced Materials. ARALDITE® 7047 epoxy adhesive is a high purity, 100% solids system designed for void-free bonding of circuitry and microelectronic chips to printed circuit boards.
Huntsman Advanced Materials today announced a new family of mercury-free ARALDITE polyurethane adhesives. The products were developed as part of Huntsman’s continuing effort to provide customers with leading-edge, environmentally conscious materials. The newly formulated adhesives are particularly well suited for use in assembly of thermoplastic components and other parts destined for the global marketplace that is governed by strict, new environmental regulations.
To reduce time and costs required for casting electrical parts such as medium and high-voltage equipment, insulators, bushings, switches and transformers, Huntsman Advanced Materials has announced a new family of materials that are fully cured after demolding.
