Ideal Cushioning of Aluminum Air Cylinders Reduces Cycle Times
|
| Bosch Rexroth Pneumatics has developed the concept
and application of Ideal Cushioning for optimizing air
cylinders to increase productivity. When using the
Rexroth ISO/VDMA pneumatic cylinder line, cushions
can be adjusted “ideally” to achieve reduced cycle times,
reduced noise and vibration, and increased cylinder life.
Ideal Cushioning means that there is no end of stroke
bounce, i.e. the direction of travel of the piston is the
same throughout the entire cushioning sequence, and that
its velocity is exactly zero when it reaches the end of its
travel. |

Milking the Benefits of Pneumatics
|
| Manufacturers around the world rely on machinery to rapidly produce quality products on a daily basis. Investing in the right technology and proper equipment is critical to the overall
success of the business by increasing the bottom line. Companies that continually process food and frequently washdown their machines are turning to pneumatics to decrease downtime, lower maintenance costs and, ultimately, increase production. |

Ceramic air valves reduce maintenance cost
|
| The story line has been repeated endless times, maintenance personnel have to deal with directional control valves that stopped working far sooner than they should – slowing down or stopping production. The valves could be located in a harsh environment, like a tire plant or a foundry. Or it could be that the factory just routinely has poor quality “house” compressed air. Rexroth Ceram™ valves to the rescue. By using ceramic plates for basic sealing, the Ceram valve can tolerate environmental conditions such as corrosion, dust, dirt and sand that end up in an air line far better than traditional spool design valves. |
