Will Begin to Distribute OPTEK Technology Product Line

Allied Electronics, a subsidiary of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), has signed a distribution agreement with TT electronics OPTEK Technology to distribute its full line of visible LED products in North America.
“Allied is pleased to add OPTEK Technology to our product line,” said Lee Davidson, president of Allied. “Customers purchasing OPTEK products from Allied can expect a broad range of product available in stock and in the quantities they need.”
Allied will carry OPTEK’s full product offering, including fiber optic devices, optoelectronic components, magnetic sensors and LED components and assemblies.
“Allied has many years of experience in the electronics industry, and we believe this partnership will allow our respective organizations to continue to grow,” said Alan Bennett, vice president of sales and marketing for OPTEK Technology. “With 56 sales branches throughout the United States and Canada, Allied is well equipped to meet the needs of all of our North American customers.”
