Steelcote Manufacturing: New UV-Resistant Polyurethane Top Coat

The STEELCOTE Division of Chemline Incorporated announces EPO-LUX 520, a new chemical resistant, aliphatic polyurethane coating specifically formulated for brush, roller or low pressure spray application. This coating can be used for interior or exterior application over a wide variety of surfaces, according to John Henningsen, spokesperson for the manufacturer.

“EPO-LUX 520 offers the most advanced raw material formulation for gloss and color retention, commented Henningsen. “The physical properties of this product mean it’s ranked with the top aliphatic polyurethanes in the industrial coating business.” He added

Once applied, the coating forms a dense, tight polyurethane film that it is particularly resistant to staining by aviation fuels, inks, tires containing sulfur, and heavy wheel traffic.

EPO-LUX 520 is ideal for both interior and exterior surfaces that have been previously coated or bare surfaces. It can be used on metal, concrete, or masonry surfaces and it particularly shines when used on floors, walls, ceilings, tanks, and equipment.

The high chemical resistance makes it perfect aviation hangar floors, clean rooms, laboratories, printing plants, white rooms, and many other areas difficult to keep clean.
